Preventative Dentistry

As they say: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” This saying couldn’t be more true when discussing oral health. Virtually all dental problems can be successfully prevented in their early stages with the help of diligent oral hygiene, regular checkups and cleanings, and other important preventive care.

Oral Hygiene Tips

Learn daily habits to protect your smile.

We offer additional Periodontal Care services to help to stop disease progressions and maintain the health of your mouth including:

Laser Periodontal Therapy : The laser energy is focused in the periodontal pocket and kills the destructive bacteria that cause gum disease.

Perio Protect Trays: Perio Protect Trays are a non-surgical treatment for Periodontal Disease. These trays are custom made for each patient and are designed to deliver medication under the gumline in the area that brushing and flossing can not reach.

Arestin Therapy: Arestin is a tetracycline based antibiotic that is placed below the gumline into a periodontal pocket. The medication is released over a two-week period to kill the harmful bacteria that destroy the bone and tissues supporting your teeth. The reduction of the bacteria allows your body to start to heal itself.

Guided Biolfilm Therapy :

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is a modern, systematic, and minimally invasive approach to professional dental cleaning focused on removing biofilm (the primary cause of gum disease and cavities).

The process uses a special dye (Disclosing) to make invisible biofilm visible, allowing for "Guided" and targeted removal. The main cleaning tool is AIRFLOW®, which uses a gentle stream of warm air, water, and specialized powder to remove plaque comfortably. Any remaining hard deposits (calculus) are removed with the gentle ultrasonic device, PIEZON® NO PAIN.

Key Benefits: Maximum patient comfort (less scraping/vibrations), high effectiveness due to guided targeting, gentle on existing dental work (implants, veneers), and faster appointments.

Saliva Testing and Pathogen Specific Therapy

quick, non-invasive way to analyze your mouth’s unique ecosystem.

We test your saliva to identify the specific levels of cavity-causing bacteria and assess your saliva's ability to neutralize acid (buffering capacity).

This advanced diagnostic allows us to create a truly personalized treatment plan, including targeted rinses and recommendations. Knowing your risk helps us actively prevent damage, saving you from future fillings, crowns, and complex dental issues.

Key Benefits:

  • Accurate assessment of cavity and gum disease risk.

  • Highly personalized prevention strategies.

  • Non-invasive, quick, and easy testing.
